Kwankwaso Tinubu 2027 VP role possible as Kwankwasiyya Movement says he may accept any position to help defeat APC
The spokesperson of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Habibu Saleh, has said former presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is prepared to accept any political arrangement, including a possible vice-presidential slot, in a bid to ensure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is voted out in the 2027 general election.

Saleh made the statement in an interview with Daily Post, amid ongoing discussions around opposition coalition talks and recent comments by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar regarding Kwankwaso’s political influence.
He said Kwankwaso’s focus is not driven by personal ambition but by what he described as a broader mission to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and safeguard democracy.
Kwankwaso Tinubu 2027 VP role discussions, according to Saleh, are part of strategic coalition negotiations aimed at strengthening opposition unity ahead of the next election cycle.
He stated that Kwankwaso has been actively building alliances and is willing to make sacrifices if such decisions improve the coalition’s chances of electoral success.
According to Saleh, any position that contributes to defeating the APC would be considered, stressing that the priority remains national interest over individual political ambition.
He also pushed back against claims that Kwankwaso’s political relevance is confined to Kano State, describing such assertions as misleading.
Citing electoral figures from the 2023 presidential election, Saleh said Kwankwaso secured significant votes beyond Kano despite contesting under what he described as a relatively weak political platform.
He further argued that Kwankwaso’s performance demonstrated genuine grassroots support, noting the absence of incumbent backing or strong party structures during his campaign.
On comparisons with other political figures, Saleh maintained that Kwankwaso’s vote share reflects substantial national appeal, particularly given the constraints under which he contested.
Addressing speculation around a potential joint ticket with Atiku Abubakar, Saleh dismissed the idea of a same-region presidential pairing, describing it as politically unbalanced.
He suggested that Nigerians are more likely to support a ticket that reflects regional diversity, adding that such inclusiveness is critical to national unity.

Saleh also referenced growing public interest in a possible alliance between Kwankwaso and Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, describing it as a combination capable of bridging political divisions.
