The endorsement, which anchors the APC endorses Dapo Abiodun narrative gaining traction within party ranks, was announced on Monday at a high-level gathering held at Adeola Odutola Hall in Ijebu-Ode.

The meeting drew a broad coalition of party leaders, grassroots representatives, and elected officials from across the district.

Attendees included members of the Governor’s Advisory Council, current and former lawmakers at both state and national levels, local government chairmen, councillors from all wards, as well as women and youth leaders.

The strong turnout underscored what participants described as a unified and strategic decision ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.

He added that party leaders would formally convey the decision and pledge to support the governor’s nomination process.

“This is a collective resolution. We believe he has the competence and experience required,” Mustapha said.

In his remarks, the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, described the endorsement as both historic and decisive, citing the governor’s record in governance and party cohesion as key factors.

A member of the House of Representatives, Femi Ogunbanwo, representing Odogbolu, Ijebu-Ode and Ijebu North East Federal Constituency, credited the administration with fostering stability and development across the state.
