Gbenga Daniel Barred from APC Meeting in Ogun East

Former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel claims he and his supporters were barred from an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting in Ogun East. Daniel declared any decision taken at the gathering null and void

Former Ogun State Governor and current Senator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has alleged that he and members of his political group were denied access to an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting in Ogun State.

Daniel made the allegation while speaking at the venue of the gathering on Monday, where he arrived with a large number of supporters expecting to participate in an APC caucus meeting for the Ogun East zone.

The Senator stated that they were surprisingly prevented from entering the meeting hall, describing the restriction as unacceptable and undemocratic.

“We are here for our Ogun East APC caucus meeting, but surprisingly, we have been barred; we are told that we cannot enter. Let it be said that whatever they do here today is null and void,” Daniel declared.

The exact circumstances surrounding the denial of access were not immediately clear as of the time of filing this report.

There has been no official statement from the organisers of the meeting regarding the incident.
