Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Abdullahi said the ADC remains calm and focused, insisting the ruling party is unsettled by its growing influence.
He claimed the APC continues to reference the ADC in public discourse while allegedly sponsoring court cases against the party.
Abdullahi noted that despite the APC’s control of numerous state governors and a majority in the National Assembly, it still appears politically anxious.
According to him, the ruling party frequently describes the ADC as weakened while simultaneously engaging in efforts to destabilise it.
He also criticised what he described as inconsistencies in political attacks directed at the ADC, saying they do not reflect reality on the ground.
Abdullahi maintained that there is no legal or political barrier preventing candidates from contesting elections on the ADC platform.
“It’s not legally and politically dangerous for anyone to run on the platform of the ADC,” he stated.

The remarks add to ongoing political exchanges between opposition parties and the ruling APC as Nigeria’s political space continues to heat up ahead of future elections.
