The document, which has sparked widespread controversy, reportedly contains names of individuals said to have been selected for key political positions, including governorship, senatorial, and House of Representatives tickets under the APC banner in Oyo State.

At the centre of the controversy is Senator Sharafadeen Alli, representing Oyo South Senatorial District, who was allegedly listed as the party’s governorship candidate.

The report also named Soji Adedeji as a purported deputy governorship candidate, alongside several other political figures across the state’s geopolitical zones.

Other names included in the alleged list span senatorial and federal constituency positions, triggering immediate reactions from aspirants who reportedly spent significant resources on consultations and campaign groundwork.

Sources within the party, who spoke under anonymity, described the situation as highly tense, noting that the circulation of the list has created confusion and dissatisfaction among stakeholders ahead of the 2027 election cycle.

The development has intensified internal unease within the party structure, with concerns that the alleged list could deepen existing divisions among aspirants and party loyalists across Oyo State.

However, the APC in Oyo State has firmly dismissed the document, describing it as fake and misleading.

The party’s Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, stated that no official candidate list exists, adding that the party has launched an investigation to identify those responsible for circulating the document.

According to him, the purported list is deceptive and capable of causing unnecessary tension within the party.

Sadare further clarified that the party has not commenced any process of nomination or selection, stressing that it is not yet time for expression of interest or primary elections.
