APC form fees non-refundable policy explained by Morka, noting exceptions may apply but payments are generally not returned
The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday, March 27, 2026, clarified that payments made for expression of interest and nomination forms are generally non-refundable, according to the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

Speaking during an appearance on The Morning Show on Arise Television, Morka explained that aspirants are expected to understand the requirements and eligibility criteria for the positions they seek before making any payments.
The APC form fees non-refundable stance, he said, reflects standard party practice designed to ensure candidates make informed decisions.
He noted that the party presumes applicants are aware of the constituencies and zoning arrangements tied to specific offices.
As a result, individuals who apply for positions outside their designated areas are typically responsible for such errors.
However, Morka acknowledged that there have been rare instances in the past where the party approved refunds under exceptional circumstances.
He explained that while refunds are not the norm, affected individuals may formally submit requests, which would then be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the party leadership.
According to him, the APC maintains a structured process for handling such matters, balancing adherence to established rules with the possibility of discretionary consideration where justified.
The clarification comes amid ongoing discussions surrounding party processes ahead of internal elections and national conventions, where nomination procedures and associated fees often draw public attention.

Morka’s remarks reinforce the party’s position that aspirants bear responsibility for ensuring compliance with guidelines before participating in its internal electoral processes.
