Details emerge from Wike-led PDP NEC meeting as Mao Ohuabunwa backs e-registration, zoning reforms and party unity ahead of convention
The Nyesom Wike-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disclosed key details from its 107th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

At the meeting, the Board of Trustees chairman, Mao Ohuabunwa, described the ongoing electronic membership registration process as a significant step toward modernizing the party.
The Wike-led PDP NEC meeting details also highlighted efforts to improve transparency and strengthen internal democracy through a verified membership register.
Ohuabunwa noted that a credible membership database is essential for political organization, planning, and building trust among party members and stakeholders.
He urged members across the country to support the e-registration exercise to ensure its success.
Speaking further, he said decisions taken at the NEC meeting would influence the outcome of the party’s upcoming national convention and its future direction.
He also called for unity among members, stressing the importance of collective responsibility and compromise in resolving internal disputes.
On zoning arrangements, Ohuabunwa said recommendations from the zoning committee should be considered with fairness, equity, and a focus on party unity.
He added that no political arrangement is perfect, urging members to prioritize the overall interest of the party over individual ambitions.
