Ikedi Ohakim praises President Tinubu as Renewed Hope Ambassadors inaugurate 12 ward coordinators in Imo State
Former Ikedi Ohakim has praised President Bola Tinubu for stabilising Nigeria since assuming office, speaking at the inauguration of 12 ward coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area.

Describing Nigeria as “a sinking ship” prior to Tinubu’s tenure, Ohakim said, “He has steadied the ship, and it is sailing again.”
He lauded the RHA’s philosophy of unity and love, emphasising that its grassroots structure would soon outweigh online discourse in influence.
The event brought together political leaders, party faithful, government officials, and community figures.
Goodluck Opiah, State Coordinator of RHA, said the group would collaborate with party structures to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that several of President Tinubu’s policies have been widely misunderstood despite their impact on education, agriculture, and national security.
Chief Ogemdi Ibeawuchi, Local Government Area Coordinator, officiated the inauguration, explaining that coordinators were selected after “careful and thorough scrutiny” to promote the tangible and intangible benefits of the President’s policies and programmes.
“Our ward coordinators are expected to work hand-in-hand with party leadership and government officials as partners in progress, to drive home the message that under President Tinubu and our Governor, Hope Uzodimma, major infrastructure projects have been delivered while more are ongoing,” Ibeawuchi said.
He pledged loyalty of the Isiala Mbano chapter to President Tinubu, Governor Uzodimma, and RHA leadership.
Opiah added that the 12 ward coordinators reflect values of quality, integrity, and commitment to service.
“Our LGA coordinators are men of character and capacity. What we have seen here reflects the kind of leadership we desire in the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, from the LGA down to the polling units,” he said, stressing that the group functions as an advocacy platform supporting APC policies rather than competing with the party.
The APC Chairman in Isiala Mbano LGA, Hon. C.Y. Obichendu, congratulated the ward coordinators and urged collaboration with party structures, while Deputy Majority Leader of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Sam Osuji, described them as “political guerrillas” capable of delivering on their mandate.
Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha, member representing Okigwe North Federal Constituency, praised the rapid growth of RHA under Opiah’s leadership and affirmed seamless cooperation with the APC. Hon. Evangelist Chika Okoroike, Isiala Mbano LGA Chairman, thanked the RHA for grassroots advocacy and assured alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The high point of the event was the formal inauguration of 12 ward coordinators by Chief Ogemdi Ibeawuchi.

Those inaugurated include: Hon. Mike Akuneshiobike (Osuama/Anara Ward), Hon. Chigemezu Iwueze (Osu-Owerri Ward I), Egbomuche Nwoke (Osu-Owerri Ward II), Bathram Iwuala (Amaraku Ward), Mr. Udochukwu Durueke (Osu-Achara Ward), Hon. Ajaero David Chigozie (Obollo Ward), Mr. Chijioke Njoku (Amauzari Ward), Hon. Okechukwu Godson Mgbeosuru (Umunkwo Ward), Mr. Okechukwu Nwagwu (Ibeme Ward), Mr. Onwudiwe Kenneth Kelechi (Ugiri/Okia Ward), Mr. Raphael Emeagi (Ogbor Ward), and Mr. Henry Nkwachukwu (Umuozu Ward).
