Buba Galadima credits Buhari for Abba Yusuf’s Kano victory

Buba Galadima credits late President Buhari for ensuring Abba Yusuf’s Kano governorship victory in 2023 and preventing APC interference

Chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has said that the late former President Muhammadu Buhari played a key role in ensuring Abba Yusuf became governor of Kano State in 2023.

Speaking on Arise News, Galadima, Secretary of the NNPP Board of Trustees, claimed that Buhari intervened to prevent the All Progressives Congress (APC) from overturning the victory, citing alleged abuses by former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

Galadima said Buhari had previously supported Ganduje in 2019 but felt bitter after Ganduje publicly insulted him.

“General Buhari was the architect of making Abba Kabir Yusuf, the governor of Kano State. The world needs to know because Abba Yusuf left the house of God and went to the house of Tinubu. He left God for a human being,” Galadima said.

He further alleged that the judiciary attempted to overturn the NNPP’s victory in 2023 but that intervention by Buhari ensured that justice prevailed.

“This time, they could not be an alibi to injustice, so Abba Yusuf was made the governor of Kano through the processes of court and through the assistance of Buhari. This means that God was at work,” Galadima said.

Galadima also warned that aligning with the APC in 2027 could undermine the ability of justice and divine providence to prevail.
