Peter Obi addressed questions about his history of party movements and commitment to internal party reform.
The former Anambra State governor, who previously ran under the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, said his political decisions have been driven by disagreements over internal democracy and fairness within party structures.
Peter Obi explained that he left the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) due to what he described as discriminatory issues, while citing irregularities and financial influence in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary process.
When asked whether he could also leave the ADC under similar circumstances, Peter Obi stated that he would not hesitate to exit if the party’s process was manipulated.
“I will not be part of it. I cannot be talking about change while being in the process of the same thing,” Peter Obi said, stressing that integrity in internal party elections remained non-negotiable.
The comments have generated mixed reactions online, with supporters praising his stance on transparency while critics questioned his pattern of party defections.
