The Kogi Central senator had invited the Senate President and other distinguished lawmakers to the anniversary and project commissioning scheduled for Sunday, November 2, 2025, at her Ihima residence.

In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Teddy Onyejuwe, the group said such gestures are customary among legislators, symbolising unity, mutual respect, and camaraderie within the National Assembly.

“Such invitations are common during similar occasions and reflect unity, respect, and collegiality among lawmakers,” the statement noted.

Reaffirming its support for leaders who embody integrity, service, and accountability, Action Collective urged the public not to politicise or misinterpret Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s gesture.

The group added that the practice aligns with long-standing parliamentary traditions, where lawmakers celebrate milestones together regardless of political or party differences.

“The Action Collective joins the good people of Kogi Central and well-wishers across the country to celebrate Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for her courage, resilience, and unwavering focus on people-centred representation,” the group stated.
