APC launches statewide grassroots tour in Oyo

APC kicks off statewide grassroots tour in Oyo to promote unity, mobilise members, and showcase Tinubu administration’s achievements ahead of 2027 elections

The All Progressives Congress has commenced a statewide grassroots tour in Oyo State, starting with Oyo Federal Constituency on Monday, as part of efforts to strengthen unity and consolidate peace among party members.

The initiative, organised by the Alhaji Olayide Abas-led State Executive Committee in collaboration with the Presidential Renewed Hope Ambassadors, will extend to the remaining 13 federal constituencies, according to a statement issued by Oyo APC Publicity Secretary Olawale Sadare and State Secretary of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Afeez Bolaji Repete.

The statement confirmed that the Monday session, scheduled at the Oba Adeyemi Sports Arcade in Ode-Aremo, Oyo, marks the second in a series of stakeholders’ open interactive meetings aimed at fostering cohesion and inclusiveness among party faithful.

“We have resolved to leave no stone unturned in order to achieve our collective goals as a progressive family. APC remains the party to beat in all elections in 2027, and we shall leave nothing to chance,” the statement said.

The tour will mobilise youths, women, students, artisans, and elites across Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East, and Oyo West Local Government Areas, attracting leaders, members, and supporters from across the state.

Organisers emphasised that the meetings will provide a platform to showcase the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, highlighting efforts to reposition the country for long-term prosperity.

The APC also reiterated its commitment to reconciliation and grassroots engagement, noting that the party remains open to welcoming new members while consolidating recent successes in Oyo State.

Party leaders described the tour as a strategic step in the process of reclaiming power in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.
