Bolaji Abdullahi stated on Sunday that the party’s constitution reserves 40 percent of all positions at every level for women, making it one of the few Nigerian parties with a structured framework for female leadership.
Abdullahi said the ADC remains dedicated to building a political culture where women are empowered to lead and actively shape Nigeria’s political and governance landscape.
He encouraged more Nigerian women to join the party and contribute to creating a more inclusive political system.
“On this commemoration of #WomensDay, as the only political party in Nigeria whose constitution reserves 40% of all party positions at all levels to women, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) reaffirms our commitment to building a political culture where women can lead and participate fully in shaping our politics and governance,” Abdullahi wrote on his official X handle.
