Kebbi Education Investment Delivers ₦2.7bn Boost to Public Schools, Governor Idris Flags Off Distribution

Kebbi Education Investment takes a giant leap as Governor Nasir Idris launches the distribution of ₦2.7 billion worth of learning materials, vehicles, and teaching tools across public schools

Kebbi education investment is redefining the future of learning in the state as Governor Nasir Idris officially flagged off the distribution of education materials and infrastructure worth ₦2.7 billion to public schools.

The initiative includes over two million textbooks and exercise books, computers, vehicles, and motorcycles — all aimed at boosting learning environments in primary and secondary schools across the state.

Speaking at the launch in Birnin Kebbi, Governor Idris described the state as not just agricultural, but “an education state.”

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to free and quality education, noting the renovation of over 2,000 schools, the release of ₦2 billion for student registration fees, and the recruitment of 2,000 teachers.

Additional highlights include the appointment of professors to lead Local Government Education Authorities and the empowerment of School-Based Management Committees with direct funding.

Education Commissioner Dr. Halima Bande urged stakeholders to maintain the distributed resources, while SUBEB Chairman Prof. Suleiman Khalid-Jega praised the bold and unprecedented Kebbi education investment initiative.
