APC campaign council names Wike, Adeleke and Soludo ahead of the 2027 elections, with Tinubu set to chair the expanded team
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has included Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike and governors Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State in its revised Presidential Campaign Council ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

The expanded council, which will be chaired by President Bola Tinubu, also features Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo.
According to a report by Daily Post on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the revised list outlines campaign responsibilities for several political figures as the ruling party prepares for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Wike has been assigned to coordinate the campaign in Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory, while Adeleke will oversee campaign activities in Osun State.
The appointments bring together serving governors, federal ministers and former political office holders under the party’s expanded campaign structure.
Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has been named Director of Finance for the campaign council.
Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Zacch Adedeji, chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, will coordinate fundraising for the campaign.
Other figures listed include Hadiza Bala Usman, Presidential Adviser on Policy and Coordination, and former House of Representatives member Patrick Obahiagbon.
The council also features former Osun APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji, former APC National Legal Advisers Dr Muiz Banire and Babatunde Ogala, Chief Ayiri Emami, Victor Giadom, Magnus Abe and former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel.
The expanded membership brings together politicians with experience in federal and state government, party administration and political mobilisation.
APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru confirmed that the campaign council would be inaugurated on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The inauguration is expected to formally commence the council’s activities as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Tinubu’s chairmanship places the President at the head of the campaign structure, while the designated state coordinators and other officials are expected to oversee activities within their respective areas of responsibility.

The inclusion of Wike, Adeleke and Soludo is a notable feature of the revised list, given their positions as a federal minister and state governors.
