Igbo Arise launches sensitisation campaign across Nigeria, urging South East support for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, citing bold reforms and national progress
Igbo Arise launches campaign to rally support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, unveiling a nationwide sensitisation initiative aimed at uniting the South East behind the current administration.

The political support group, which backed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2023 election, believes the government has demonstrated bold leadership and a strong commitment to national transformation.
The campaign began on Monday with a World Press Conference at Best Western Hotel in Enugu.
Addressing journalists, National Coordinator of Igbo Arise for Tinubu/Shettima 2027, Michael Iroakazi, praised the administration for taking critical decisions necessary to reposition Nigeria.
“The combination of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, is undoubtedly the best combination in Nigeria today,” Iroakazi declared.
He highlighted the administration’s economic policies, such as the removal of fuel subsidy and the push for local government autonomy, describing them as courageous steps towards sustainable national development.
Iroakazi added that Vice President Shettima has demonstrated unwavering loyalty, enabling the administration to take tough but progressive decisions.
The group’s campaign, themed “Ahamuefula: Championing a Sure Path of Renewed Hope for Ndigbo with Tinubu/Shettima,” seeks to bridge political divides and encourage regional cooperation.
Iroakazi told attendees that aligning with the central government offers the South East an opportunity to benefit from national programmes and achieve lasting development.
“We are appealing to all of you to join the moving train as our development as a people is more paramount to us in the politics of this country,” he said.
“A virile, peaceful, progressive, economic, vibrant, and stable Ala Igbo is assured under a Tinubu/Shettima government.”
Surrounded by the group’s executives, Iroakazi urged Ndigbo to view the Tinubu presidency as an ally in the quest for peace, infrastructure, and economic opportunity.
He maintained that the administration’s tax reforms and governance approach are laying the groundwork for a stronger Nigeria.
According to the group, this sensitisation campaign will traverse all regions of the country, focusing especially on South East communities where political scepticism remains high.
The goal is to foster deeper engagement, reshape perceptions, and build a broad base of support ahead of the 2027 elections.
Confident in Tinubu’s vision, Igbo Arise believes Nigeria is on a steady march toward becoming a continental leader.
