Sam Amadi OK Movement appointment announced as the policy expert becomes Head of Advisory Council ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 elections
The OK Movement has appointed Dr Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, as the Head of its Advisory Council as the political platform expands its leadership structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The movement announced the appointment on Tuesday through a statement shared on its verified X account, describing Amadi as a respected public policy expert, legal scholar and advocate for good governance.
The Sam Amadi OK Movement appointment is expected to bring additional policy experience and strategic direction to the platform, which says it is focused on building a people-driven movement aimed at national development.
In its statement, the movement said Amadi’s experience, integrity and knowledge of governance would strengthen its mission of creating a united political platform.
“The OK Movement Leadership is proud to announce the appointment of Dr Sam Amadi as the Head of the Advisory Council of the OK Movement,” the statement read.
The group also announced the arrival of Nana Kazure into the movement, saying the decision reflected a shared commitment to improving Nigeria’s future.
“We are bringing together credible leaders, experienced voices and passionate Nigerians determined to make our country work again. Nigeria will be OK,” the statement added.
Amadi, a former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has built a reputation around public administration, institutional reform and policy advocacy.
His appointment comes as political movements begin strengthening their structures ahead of the 2027 elections, with parties and support groups seeking to attract influential figures with governance and policy expertise.
The OK Movement is a political platform associated with supporters of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who are expected to contest future political battles through the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) platform.
The movement has positioned itself as a coalition of Nigerians seeking political change, with its leadership saying it intends to unite professionals, young people and civic-minded citizens around a shared vision for national progress.
