Amadi made the comment on X, noting that Nigerians were still waiting for an official public announcement from Atiku regarding the vice-presidential pick.
He suggested that while reports had circulated about Amaechi’s nomination, the formal declaration from the presidential candidate was yet to be made publicly.
On Monday, the ADC reportedly announced Amaechi as Atiku’s running mate following consultations with party stakeholders, according to a statement issued by party spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi.
However, Amadi maintained that the absence of a direct public confirmation from Atiku leaves room for uncertainty around the announcement.
