ADC in Bauchi endorses Atiku Abubakar for 2027 presidential election, citing his experience and ability to address Nigeria’s challenges
The Bauchi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared its support for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 presidential election following a stakeholders’ meeting held in Bauchi on Sunday, May 25, 2026.

The endorsement was announced by party leaders who described Atiku Abubakar as a seasoned politician with the experience required to address Nigeria’s growing economic hardship, insecurity and governance challenges.
Speaking at the meeting, Bauchi ADC Chairman Shu’aibu Dankama said the decision followed wide consultations among stakeholders who expressed confidence in Atiku’s leadership capacity and national appeal.
He stated that the endorsement reflected a collective belief that Atiku Abubakar remains well positioned to provide direction at a time of rising inflation, unemployment and insecurity across the country.
Shu’aibu Dankama urged members of the ADC in Bauchi State to remain united and focused as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections begin to intensify.
He emphasised the importance of discipline and cohesion within the party structure to strengthen its influence and relevance in national politics.

The chairman added that sustained unity within the party would be critical in positioning the ADC as a strong political force in the coming electoral cycle.
