His emergence was confirmed in a list of duly screened senatorial aspirants released on Monday night by the APC National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Sulaiman Arugungu.
The announcement followed the conclusion of the party’s screening process for senatorial aspirants across Ekiti State, with several candidates cleared for the forthcoming elections.
In Ekiti South, the cleared aspirants include Senator Adeyemi Adaramodu, former Senate Minority Leader Senator Biodun Olujimi, and Hon. Bamidele Faparusi.
For Ekiti North, those cleared include Senator Cyril Fasuyi, Senator Ayo Arise, Oladipupo Bamisaye, and Chief Oluwadare Owolabi.
Bamidele’s unopposed emergence marks his return as the APC flag bearer for Ekiti Central for a third consecutive time, reflecting strong internal party backing.
He first secured the party’s ticket in 2019 after a keenly contested primary before retaining it again in 2023 without opposition.
His continued emergence has been attributed to what party stakeholders describe as sustained legislative performance across representation, oversight, and lawmaking duties.
