Taraba APC dismissed allegations of automatic ticket approval on Thursday as the party described the reports as misleading and inaccurate, insisting that no final decision has been reached on candidate selection for upcoming elections.

Speaking on the development, APC Publicity Secretary in the state, Aaron Artimas, clarified that the process of selecting consensus candidates is still ongoing and being handled in line with the party’s internal democratic procedures.

Aaron Artimas explained that Governor Agbu Kefas had set up three consensus committees across the state’s senatorial zones to engage stakeholders and ensure a transparent and peaceful selection process.

According to him, the committees were created to harmonise interests within the party and promote unity, while their recommendations are yet to be concluded or adopted by the leadership.

Taraba APC denies automatic ticket allegations further stressed that speculation about automatic endorsements for serving lawmakers should be disregarded by party members and the public.

Aaron Artimas urged stakeholders to remain patient, noting that the party remains committed to fairness, inclusiveness and due process in all its decisions ahead of the 2027 elections.
