The group made the appeal in Yola, Adamawa State capital, in a statement issued after a meeting and shared on Monday, April 27, 2026, saying the governor’s track record in governance had earned him widespread support across the zone.
They argued that a transition to the National Assembly would allow Fintiri’s experience to be further utilised at the federal level, while ensuring continued representation for the region.
“We believe his leadership has positively impacted our communities, and we want that experience taken to the National Assembly,” the women said.
The group described the governor as a leading figure in Adamawa politics and said their appeal reflected the views of many residents who are satisfied with ongoing development projects in the area.
In a notable development, the women also pledged to mobilise grassroots support across their communities to ensure electoral success if the governor accepts the call.
They further expressed backing for Engr. Ramatu Sali Bello, endorsing her for the House of Representatives seat, describing her as a committed grassroots development advocate with strong community engagement.
According to the group, Bello’s involvement in local development initiatives positions her as a credible candidate capable of effective representation at the federal level.
