The APC national convention assurance was reinforced by Egoh’s confirmation that only duly accredited delegates would participate in the election process, with strict compliance measures in place to ensure order and credibility throughout the exercise.
He explained that the convention, themed “Renewed Hope National Convention,” was designed to produce consensus candidates for about 36 national positions within the party structure.
Egoh stated that the party had made extensive arrangements to guarantee a hitch-free process, expressing confidence that stakeholders would be satisfied with the outcome of the exercise.
He further stressed that the APC remained committed to the principles of equity, fairness and transparency, describing the party as a broad political platform that offers equal opportunities to both longstanding and newly registered members.
According to him, there would be no discrimination in the allocation of roles or responsibilities at the convention, as all members are treated under a unified structure.
The former legislator described the APC as the largest political party in Africa, noting its wide membership base and significant influence across the country.
Egoh also commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration, attributing ongoing economic reforms to the “Renewed Hope” agenda, including subsidy removal and foreign exchange adjustments aimed at stabilising the economy.
He claimed that recent policy measures were beginning to reflect in commodity prices, pointing to reductions in the cost of essential goods as evidence of gradual economic improvement.
Despite ongoing economic pressures, Egoh maintained that the reforms were necessary for long-term national stability and development.
