The Danjuma Shiddi ADC resignation was confirmed in a letter dated 18 March 2026 and addressed to the party chairman of Puje Ward in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.
In the letter, Shiddi said his decision followed “further personal reflection” after initially joining the party with optimism about its vision and political direction.
He noted that what he called the “gathering clouds of uncertainty within the current political landscape” influenced his decision to step away, warning that the situation could affect both his long-term political goals and the interests of his constituents.
“As a result, my strategic alignment with the party is no longer compatible,” he stated.
Despite the resignation, Shiddi described his departure as emotionally difficult, expressing appreciation for his time within the party and the relationships he built.
“It truly hurts to leave,” he said, adding that members of the ADC were “exceptional leaders” who supported him during his tenure.
He stressed that his exit did not diminish his commitment to public service, insisting he would continue to seek what he called a clearer path to effectively represent the people of Taraba State.
Shiddi also requested that his name be removed from the party’s membership register and extended goodwill messages to the ADC as it moves forward.
Copies of the resignation letter were reportedly sent to the ADC chairman in Wukari, the party’s Taraba State leadership, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state.
