Former FCT senator Phillip Aduda resigns from the PDP, citing internal party crisis and expressing gratitude for past opportunities
Former Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Phillip Aduda, has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, citing the ongoing crisis within the party as the reason for his departure.

Aduda’s resignation was communicated in a letter addressed to the Chairman of PDP in Karu Ward.
Titled “Notice of Resignation of My Membership from the PDP,” the letter officially notified the party of his decision, effective immediately.
In the letter, Aduda stated: “I write to formally notify you of my resignation as a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect due to the crisis in the party.”
He expressed gratitude for the opportunities afforded to him by the party over the years, noting: “I remain grateful for the opportunity the party gave me to serve in various elective positions in our nation. Please, accept the assurances of my high esteem.”

Aduda’s departure marks a significant development in the PDP, highlighting ongoing tensions and internal challenges within the party.
