APC says Nyesom Wike is not its member and insists PDP should address any anti-party concerns following FCT Area Council elections
The All Progressives Congress has stated that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is not a member of the party, amid questions surrounding his role in the recent FCT Area Council elections.

Wike, who belongs to the Peoples Democratic Party, openly supported candidates aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The APC secured five out of the six Area Councils in the just-concluded elections.
Speaking on Arise News, the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, declined to comment on whether the party would tolerate such conduct if Wike were a member.
“You’re asking me to speculate, and I will not speculate. That question is for the PDP. You should direct that question to the PDP as to how they organise their party and handle matters like this,” Morka said.

The development has further fuelled debate over alleged anti-party activities, particularly as Wike’s support was instrumental in the APC’s strong showing in the FCT polls.
