Enoidem thanked Governor Umo Eno for facilitating reconciliation with his former political leader and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, highlighting the importance of political unity.
Akpabio, speaking at his Uyo residence as Governor Eno led a delegation to formally notify him of Enoidem’s decision, commended the Governor for promoting peace and cooperation among political actors.
He noted that unity would accelerate development in the state and stressed that political engagement should extend beyond electoral contests.
Enoidem, who served eight years as commissioner under Akpabio’s governorship and later became PDP National Legal Adviser, previously contested against Akpabio in the last senatorial election for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District.
Despite past differences, he reaffirmed Akpabio as his leader and pledged readiness to work together within the APC.
A statement by the Special Assistant on Media and Communication to the Senate President, Anietie Ekong, noted that preventing conflict and fostering harmony remained essential for the progress of Akwa Ibom.
Governor Eno and other stakeholders expressed commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and promoting stability and development in the state.
