In a statement released on Tuesday through his spokesperson Phrank Shaibu, Atiku claimed that the rising profile of the ADC has positioned him as a central figure in the evolving political landscape.
He suggested that the development is causing concern within the ruling party as opposition realignments gain traction.
The Atiku Tinubu ADC momentum claim comes amid increasing political activity and shifting alliances, including recent defections and coalition movements involving key political figures.
Atiku maintained that claims suggesting his retirement from politics are false and part of what he described as coordinated misinformation.
According to the statement, the former vice president alleged that some actors are engaging in propaganda aimed at undermining the ADC’s growing influence.
He argued that such efforts are driven by fear of the opposition’s expanding appeal and its potential to reshape the political equation ahead of the next election cycle.
Atiku further stated that what some dismiss as political noise may actually reflect deeper shifts in public sentiment and voter alignment.
He urged supporters of the ADC and his political base to remain focused and disregard what he termed deliberate attempts to distract or mislead the public.
He also emphasised that the determination of Nigerians to seek change would outweigh any efforts to suppress emerging political movements.
The statement called for unity among supporters as the party and its allies continue to build momentum toward the 2027 elections.

The remarks come in the wake of notable political movements, including the recent defection of former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso to the ADC, a development widely seen as strengthening the opposition’s coalition ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle.
