The singer reposted the announcement on X with the brief caption “Jeje…”, a remark many users interpreted as a measured appeal for calm after the political shift.
Adeleke’s resignation became public on Monday night through a letter dated 4 November 2025 and addressed to the chairman of Ward 2 in Ede North.
In the letter, the governor cited unresolved disputes within the PDP national leadership as the reason for his departure.
The move has created fresh uncertainty within the party ahead of its governorship primary for the 2026 Osun election.
While the PDP leadership in Osun State said the primary would be postponed due to persistent internal disagreements, the National Working Committee insisted that the exercise must proceed, even though Adeleke was the only aspirant who purchased the nomination form.
The contrasting positions have heightened political tension in the state, with observers describing the moment as pivotal for the party’s cohesion.
