Peter Mbah gets Enugu Unity Forum’s reelection boost

Enugu Unity Forum pledges full grassroots mobilisation to ensure Governor Peter Mbah’s seamless reelection in 2027 through continued good governance.

Peter Mbah Enugu reelection — The Enugu State Unity Forum (EUF), a support group for the reelection of Governor Peter Mbah, has vowed to embark on extensive grassroots sensitisation across Enugu East Senatorial Zone to ensure the governor’s seamless return to office in 2027.

Speaking at the inauguration of the EUF Enugu East Zonal Chapter at the local government secretariat in Nkwo-Nike on Tuesday, the group’s coordinator, Dr Chukwuemeka Nwatu, said their mission centres on amplifying the good governance strides of Governor Mbah across the state.

He stressed that the group’s commitment was purely voluntary, born out of genuine admiration for the governor’s transformative leadership rather than political appointments or personal gain.

“We’re an organic movement inspired by what Governor Peter Mbah is doing. We are impressed and happy with his achievements. His impact is visible across the 260 wards of the state, and we are determined to keep that message alive until 2027 when his reelection will come naturally,” Nwatu said.

He added that the newly inaugurated zonal executives would engage directly with residents in villages and polling units to highlight the governor’s ongoing developmental projects and reforms.

Chairman of Enugu East Local Government Council, Pastor Beloved-Dan Anike, lauded the governor’s leadership, describing him as a “rare breed” whose vision has united the state and inspired confidence in governance.

“Governor Mbah is a man nurtured for this moment — to bring everyone together and shape the future of Enugu. He toured all wards before becoming governor and is already planning another visit to assess progress. You don’t change a winning team,” Anike said.

The chairman noted that Mbah’s administration represents peace, unity, and sustainable development — values that, according to him, align with the United Nations’ principles of good governance.

“There can’t be development without peace, and there can’t be peace without development. Governor Mbah has achieved both, making him the symbol of unity in Enugu politics,” he added.

The EUF members reaffirmed that their mission was to sustain public awareness of Mbah’s governance model and its long-term benefits for future generations.

“What the governor is doing today is not just for us, but for our children and generations to come,” Dr Nwatu noted, describing the reelection effort as “a call to duty, not politics.”
