APC youth advocate Umar Jijiwa alleges nomination forms are being reserved for those already in power ahead of the party’s national convention
All Progressives Congress (APC) youth advocate and Director-General of the Youth Jagaban Network, Umar Jijiwa, has alleged that nomination forms for the party’s national convention are being reserved for those already in power.

The APC nomination forms allegation was made during a Tuesday appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme.
Jijiwa claimed that despite payment, some aspirants were denied access to nomination forms because they were being kept for incumbent office holders.
He alleged that the party leadership is prioritising continuity for current office holders at the expense of new entrants.
According to him, the situation suggests that internal party processes are being skewed in favour of those already within the party’s leadership structure.
Jijiwa further claimed that aspirants who paid for forms were not issued them because only a limited number were made available.
He insisted that the process was unfair and excluded outsiders who also had legitimate political ambitions.
His comments come amid reports that APC convention organisers have said nomination forms have been exhausted.

The allegations add to ongoing internal debates within the party over transparency and access to political opportunities ahead of the national convention.
