Taraba ADC Gains Major Boost from PDP Women Defection

ADC Taraba records membership surge as women defect from PDP, praising party’s vision, inclusive politics, and focus on citizen welfare

The Taraba state chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has recorded a significant increase in membership following the defection of a large group of women from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Dangon Community, Dinding Ward of Zing local government council.

The women were formally received at the ADC State Secretariat in Jalingo by State Chairman Hassan Muhammed Adamu Matawallen Iware, alongside the party’s Youth Leader, Abubakar Audu, and other top officials.

Addressing the new members, Chairman Matawallen described their decision to join the ADC as timely and encouraging.

He said the move reflects growing public confidence in the party’s leadership and ideology.

He reaffirmed the ADC’s commitment to inclusive politics, women empowerment, good governance, social justice, and sustainable development across Taraba State.

In his remarks, Youth Leader Audu commended the women for their courage and political foresight.

He assured them of equal opportunities within the party and urged active participation at all levels.

Representatives of the women expressed confidence in the ADC’s vision and leadership, noting that their decision to leave the PDP was informed by the ADC’s progressive agenda and focus on improving citizen welfare.
