He was received into the APC on Tuesday at Nenu, Obingwa Local Government Area, by former Deputy Governor Chris Akomas and senior party leaders.

Erondu Jr. arrived with approximately 5,000 supporters, describing the move as beneficial for his constituency and Abia State.

The former Obingwa LGA Chairman pledged to maintain his record of effective representation, urging residents, the South-East, and Nigerians at large to support the APC.

He also declared full backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, calling his reform policies “bold and necessary for Nigeria’s long-term growth.”

“The re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 is not negotiable,” Erondu Jr. stated.

His decision followed sustained engagement from key APC figures, including Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu.

In welcoming him, Chris Akomas described Erondu Jr. as a “priceless political asset” for the Abia APC.
